About The Project
CritLab is a pilot project at the Tandon School of Engineering and the Department of Integrated Digital Media at NYU. It seeks to allow student critics to write widely on topics at the intersection of art and technology, and to bring criticism into the milieu of cutting-edge work with new media.
The project is supervised by Professor A.V. Marraccini, an art historian and essayist who is Critic in Residence at IDM. Contact the project at am4244@nyu.edu.

Justine is a new media artist, writer, and researcher, based in Brooklyn, New York. Her projects use networks, language, software, and satire to explore the absurd. Nikolai is a Chilean graduate student at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program. Before arriving at NYU, Nikolai spent two years studying traditional boatbuilding and restoration at a trade school in Rhode Island. His arts practice incorporates performance and large-scale multimedia installations to explore postmemory through the context of family and Chile's political history.
